"Being a college adviser drove my passion for education and led me to pursue a career in education policy. As an adviser, I developed an understanding of the barriers to postsecondary access that I take with me in my current role as a policy analyst. Also, I learned how to collaborate with various stakeholders, such as parents, teachers, administrators, and college personnel, toward a common goal. This skill has been invaluable in my current role and will be so for years to come."
